SALARY: Varies with Experience
JOB LOCATION: Worldwide. Initial tour is usually duty at a Medical Treatment Facility in the United States or overseas.
Overseas assignments can be located in exciting places such as Hawaii, Japan, Spain, or Italy.
EXPERIENCE: Applicants who have had two or more years of hospital experience or a residency in Pharmacy practice are preferred but not essential.
EDUCATION: Baccalaureate of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy.
LICENSE: Applicants graduating with preceeding degree(s) should take licensure exam prior to Officer Indoctrination School
and must receive licensure within one year of entry into active duty.
DURATION: Full Time permanent. Three-year renewable contract.
NUMBER OF OPENINGS: Immediate positions for 13 pharmacists.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Navy pharmacist has the opportunity to practice Pharmaceutical Care in a wide variety of hospitals
and clinics ranging from large teaching hospitals to small clinics worldwide and even a 1000 bed hospital ship.
Pharmacists can get experience in drug information services, drug use evaluations,
sterile products, unit dose distribution, interventions, patient counseling, administration and much more.
